#017 - Email Receipt
I promised that I would make a few things for Curls & Coils soon. I have kept up my end of the promise so far with lovely #017 - the email receipt.
Subscription boxes are everywhere and while I don’t currently subscribe to one, I’ve heard how great they can be. (Hello, full sized products!) Quite a few of my favourite podcasts have discount codes for them and I’ve definitely been tempted more than once to get one. Since Curls & Coils was conceived as a fictional community for WOC to get to know more about their hair, find like minded people, and gain product recommendations, I thought that creating an email receipt for a subscription box would be the perfect fit.
FYI - this isn’t new. There are tons of companies who carry this out successfully and are popular - CURLBOX is one of them. If you even search on YouTube, you can find more than a few videos of your favourite beauty influencers “unboxing” their monthly subscriptions.
Shall we get into the meat and potatoes of this one?
Here is where I really started to flesh out the details by adding in the order date, order number, and the estimated shipping date, which are all necessary components of an email receipt. Gotta have all of that info handy.
Sometimes I feel that the hardest part of these exercises isn’t putting them together, but choosing the colour palette.
There are times when I just draw a blank and this was one of them. I was at a loss as to what to pair with it that wasn’t black, white, or grey. Thankfully Google always has my back and directed me to this lovely website that provided me with accent and base colours. I don’t always use something like this, but hey, when you’re having a brain fart, it really can save the day.
And there we have it, kids! Another one in the series completed!
