#041 - Workout Tracker

I made the decision to take some time off from posting on here and my creative account on Instagram. It originally was going to be for a week, but I knew I needed a break. It was overdue. Since the lockdown started and I was off of work, I forced myself to be “productive” by pushing content out. It worked for a while because it helped me be accountable and on somewhat of a schedule. I learned about a week into quarantine that I needed a form of routine in my life in order to have some sense of normalcy.

It wasn’t until the latter part of May hit and I realized how burnt out I was, not just from posting, but also learning about the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, Regis Korchinski-Paquet, Breonna Taylor, etc. As a Black woman, it really took a toll on me. It felt like once again, more lives were lost and no one listened…until I saw people posting in support of Black Lives Matter. I read people actually backing up their words with actions, real actions, and honestly, that’s what we’ve wanted this entire time.

To be very clear, all Black lives matter - including the lives of Black trans people.

Now…onto the UI exercise.

I know a lot of us have been working out at home since COVID hit and so we’re not only using workout apps more than we were before but also searching for videos on Youtube. I personally use the FitOn app along with videos from Koboko Fitness and they’ve helped me get out of that early quarantine slump I was in during late March, April, and May.

Here’s my version of a workout tracker!
