This week’s #notsodailyui exercise is centered around a new bakery’s launch.

Outside is basically closed. This stay-at-home order isn’t going to end soon, and it’s frustrating to know that some people have been jet setting off to warm climates (Must be nice to have that sort of privilege, among others…) while the rest of us have been told to only go out for essential trips. Who knows when we’ll be able to wander into bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants, order, and then sit down and enjoy our food and beverages again? At this rate, it’s looking like months from now, and I know I’m feeling exhausted. I’m sure you are, too.

And I know that in itself is a form of privilege as well, and such a first world problem, but all of that can still be true.

I was drawn to the image of macarons because 1) they always look GOOD, 2) they’re tasty, and 3) well, I’m positive we could all use an image of them to lift our moods a little bit.

I’m trying to manage this pandemic as best as I can. Some days are better than others. Last week was a doozy, although it was great to see Kamala Harris become the first female Vice-President of the United States.
