I talked a bit about this on the Freebies post (if you’ve missed it, you can get caught up here), but we truly are in a very unpredictable time now. Many people are getting sick from the Coronavirus, as well as dying, and people have been told multiple times to stay home. Within the span of a week, things grinded to a halt and panic set in. Literally.
And it sure did by Thursday of that week.
Many large companies were announcing their plans to temporarily close and pay their employees and both companies I work(ed) for did the same. I went grocery shopping on a Friday night at Walmart and the amount of empty shelves surprised me. I went with a list and at least half of the items on it weren’t in stock. I completely understand preparing yourself and your family in this situation, but there is a fine line between preparing and hoarding. Please, going forward, whenever you do shop, respect the limits grocers have in place so that there is enough for everyone. I am happy to see that the first hour of business is now dedicated to seniors and others to shop, ensuring that they have access to everything they need.
I know times are tough, and people will be sticking to their budgets even more, but if you can afford to, please consider making a donation to your local food bank. People are depending on them even more now and any amount helps. Stay safe, wash your hands, and don’t forget to check in on your loved ones.
I guess the good thing about this is that a lot of us have time to sit down and do things that we’ve put off for months or years, myself included. Yes, that means I will be churning out more of this #notsodailyui series, getting some Udemy courses out of the way, and of course, clearing that Netflix list.
But let’s get into this, eh?
It was a breeze to set up this one, meaning that I had a good idea from the beginning of how I wanted everything to look, and the features I needed to show, right down to the colour palette.
Just adding in the folder icons and replacing the classic Lorem Ipsum text with the file size.
Progress bar loading in 3, 2, 1…
And now you see that I chose to use Pantone’s Color of the Year, Classic Blue. I’m so drawn to it. It’s just so rich, beautiful, and *Chef’s kiss*. Just amazing. I love it.
I wasn’t satisfied with the progress bar being just Classic Blue. It needed just a little more tweaking, so I added a gradient to the progress bar. Nothing big, just a little razzle dazzle, if you will.
Ladies, gentlemen, everyone, this is the final version.
