#031 - File Upload

I talked a bit about this on the Freebies post (if you’ve missed it, you can get caught up here), but we truly are in a very unpredictable time now. Many people are getting sick from the Coronavirus, as well as dying, and people have been told multiple times to stay home. Within the span of a week, things grinded to a halt and panic set in. Literally.

And it sure did by Thursday of that week.

#030 - Pricing

Life happened and it took me a while for me to complete this. I did the wireframes in December, dabbled a little bit in January, but put the finishing touches on it yesterday. Whew, the inconsistency of it all. I find that my issue is feeling like I have to spend a significant amount of time on creative work in a day and as we all know, sometimes it’s not possible. What I have done, though, is set a goal to at least work on one UI related project and coding for at least an hour, multiple times a week. It lessens the guilt I have about not doing it every day, even when I’m occupied with other life matters.

#029 - Map

Confession: I’m not into the whole Black Friday and Cyber Monday thing.

Yes, I said it. Don’t get me wrong, there are some decent deals, but I will not be lined up outside of a store at 8 AM to be one of the first 25, 50, or 100 people in line. I think it comes from working in retail for so long and I’m not a fan of crowds. (Not to mention that I actually had to work Black Friday at one of my jobs this year, but that’s another story…)

#027 - Dropdown Menu

I got a burst of energy to fire up Adobe XD and get this out. I don’t know where it came from, but I’m not going to question it. The last project I completed in the #dailyui #notsodailyui series was in June and my goal is to push as many of these out as I can by the end of the year. I’m going to aim to complete at least one #notsodailyui once a week.

#026 - Subscription

It’s been a while since I did anything related to Satchel Stone, so I thought that creating an email subscription pop up would be a terrific idea. Malia and Lauren have been missed!

Yes, I have chosen names for the sisters. I figured it might be wise to think of their needs in terms of any other potential Satchel Stone related things coming up.

#025 - TV App

June is Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈

I believe that love is love. Everyone is at a different point in their journeys. Some have been out for years while others are still finding their way to share their truth with their loved ones. Keep that in mind and treat everyone with respect, not just during this month but all of the time.

Did you hear what I said? I’ll say it again for the people in the back: ALL 🗣OF 🗣THE 🗣TIME.🗣

Green Thumb Mockup - Phase 1

I mentioned in the Green Thumb Storyboard post that I went too far with the mockup, compared to my classmates. At the beginning of the Intro to UI/UX course, we were told that we could either recreate an existing app or website or create one from scratch as the project we would work on over 6 weeks. I chose to do a little bit of both.

I have mentioned Green Thumb. It’s even listed as a project here, but I’m not going to sugarcoat anything. That first version is not my best work. There are only three screens and it doesn’t show how a user would navigate through the app. I wanted to revise it and this was the perfect chance to do so.

With that said, I was up to my knees in it. MY KNEES.
